Arizona-based singer-songwriter Drew Harvey approached me to create a cohesive set of artworks for his music while simultaneously developing a visual identity for his collective, With/Out (W/O). The goal was to establish a distinct visual language that could evolve with the collective while maintaining consistency across individual releases.
As the designer, creative lead, and art director, I developed a series of cover artworks blending distressed sans-serif typography, handwritten scanned text, and AI-generated imagery as a base for the compositions. This project marked my first commercial use of bespoke AI-generated artwork, allowing for unique yet historically inspired visuals.
Drawing inspiration from medieval illustration, fine art depictions of knights and demons, and historical engravings, we crafted a distinct aesthetic that fused traditional iconography with a raw, contemporary edge. The final result was a series of artworks that captured the mood of the music while providing W/O with a structured yet flexible system for future releases.
